The Challenge
Swolefoods and The Launch Agency began their journeys at almost the same time — with Taran (Swolefoods founder) and Ben (Launch CEO) forming a friendship in the early stages of building their businesses. Back then, Swolefoods was being run out of a garage, with a vision to become a leading provider of healthy, ready-made meals across New Zealand. The challenge wasn’t just growing brand awareness — it was building the entire commercial engine: creative content, website, digital advertising, and a market strategy to scale the business. With no internal marketing resource at the time, Swolefoods needed a partner who could act as both the strategic lead and full execution team, ensuring the brand could grow fast without compromising on quality.
Our Approach
Over a three-year period, we worked as Swolefoods’ go-to-market agency — providing an end-to-end outsourced marketing team. This included all creative production (photography, videography, and brand campaigns), performance marketing across Meta and Google, website development and CRO support, and ongoing business strategy consulting. We worked closely with Taran to build a scalable marketing function from scratch, later helping to transition elements of that function in-house. With regular campaign planning sessions, fast-turnaround content production, and always-on digital advertising, we ensured the brand had momentum every month. Our role was not just execution — we were embedded in the brand’s evolution, from local startup to national player.
